The Things They Learn In Primary

Last night Dave and I were having a little snuggle time with Porter because he was having a hard time falling asleep. He was telling us about the things that he learned from his teacher in Primary. Here is how the conversation went........
Porter: "Mom did you know that Jesus was alive and then he died and then he came alive again?" Mom: "Yes, I know that. What is that called?" Porter: "Ummmmmmm...... awesomeness?"

Flight School Graduation - April 14, 2010

2 years and 2 weeks after our arrival at Fort Rucker we finally finished Flight School. It has been a sacrifice for our entire family but well worth it. Pinning the wings on my Aviator
Our family.
The boys were so proud of their dad.
(Porter..... really... is the pose necessary?)

My parents came to the graduation. It meant a lot to us to share this day with them.

Porter was yelling "Dad I love you" the entire time. It was so cute.
(Notice Kadens freaky eye)

Dave and his stick buddy Jack

After graduation there is a banquet where the wives are recognized for supporting
their husbands. This is Dave giving me my own set of wings on a necklace. Dave was so sweet. (Notice my face and how much I love standing up in front of people)

Putting on the necklace

Love him!!!!

Family Beach Pictures

Unfortunately we did not get a really great one of the entire family..... :( We will try again. I have to leave Alabama with a great beach picture of the whole family.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just For Laughs...... :)

We meant to get up and get going so we could be to the beach early enough to not have squinty eyes. This is a perfect example of our late start. :)

Photographer (DAD) "Both of you look in the distance and be serious."

Everytime I would look back at Dave and see his "serious face" I could NOT STOP LAUGHING...... no serious faces for us.

Busch Gardens

Upon arrival we were bombarded by eager photographers selling pictures. We were one of the suckers who bought one.

The very first ride was one for Porter. I was so proud of Kaden. He rode all of the baby rides with Porter so he would not be alone. He is a great big brother.

Notice how thrilled Kaden is

THE WILDLIFE

The righteous Gorilla and.........

the naughty Gorilla

This picture makes me sad. It was not very long ago that I was pushing this boy in a stroller and he actually fit.

Dad and his boys

Mom and her boys

Pure JOY

Papa and the boys

Typical Porter :)

The Sky Ride.... so much fun

I took this picture on the Sky Ride over the park. Please take notice of the highest roller coaster. That is............ drum roll................ The Sheikra. I, Emilie Patterson rode that ride to impress my 12 year old who was begging me to ride it with him. I will never, ever do anything like that again. I realized after the ride was over and I regained my composure that during the entire ride Colton was asking me if I was ok. Such a sweet boy...... shouldn't it be the mom asking that child if they are ok???

This is fear in it's truest form. I like to say that I was sooooooo scared that my hair grew an inch and that is exactly why my roots are showing so bad.. :)

SILLY PICTURES

THE TRAIN RIDE THROUGH THE SERENGETI

I would like to start off with this picture that makes me laugh really hard. My dad had to sit by this teenage girl. They both looked so awkwardly uncomfortable during the entire trip that I could not stop laughing.

Please take notice of the scariest roller coaster in the world in the background. After you look at the cool Zebra of course.

The Giraffes would walk right up to the train. Super fun!!!

He's so handsome..... I love him!!!!

PLAYING IN THE WATER

I love how in this picture Colton looks so eager to sacrifice his body :)

PROOF OF A GREAT TIME
