Happy Birthday Dave!

Today was Daves 33rd birthday. We are so very grateful for him. He is such a good husband and a wonderful dad to our little boys. I love to watch them play together, I love how they giggle at his little jokes, and wait anxiously for him to walk through the door at the end of the day. Watching him as a dad makes me love him even more than I thought possible. Happy Birthday Dave!

It's A Boy!

Congratulations Adam and Sherry! A couple of weeks ago they had the best surprise..... they were expecting baby number 5. To add to that surprise they found out they were almost 19 weeks into this little miracle...... SURPRISE....... Today was the big ultrasound day. I waited all morning for the news. I was anxious to hear if they were going to add another baby girl to their house full of beautiful little girls........ OR ........ would they mix it up a bit with a little baby boy. Well - It's A Boy! I am so excited for the Birt family - sad that I am not there to witness it first hand - but sooooo excited! Congratulations!!!

This poem is my favorite baby boy poem.......

God made the world out of His dreams
Of magic mountains, oceans and streams,
Prairies and plains and wooded land,
Then paused and thought “I need someone to stand
On top of mountains, to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and to grow,
Sturdy, strong as a tree…” And so......
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When He had completed the task He'd begun
He surely said “A job well done”.

I had a very eventful week last week. Within days of each other two of my cute friends called to tell me they were pregnant. One of them I was absolutely thrilled and excited but I knew that there was a possibility there. The other one came as an absolute shock to both of us - I was still thrilled and excited mixed in with the shock. Now I am just thrilled and excited for both of them! I am only sad that I won't be there to snuggle and squish their cute new baby's. Congratulations to both of you!!!!

VICTORY!!!!

We just want everyone to know that we made it through a full sacrament meeting without having to take Porter out!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

The boys set out today for a grand adventure with TWO DADS and our little neighbors Gavin and Whitney. They came back with a little treasure. Not only is it a snake - YIKES - it is an extremely poisonous snake - DOUBLE YIKES!!! All of the kids came up and rang the door bell - "Hey mom look what we found!" Yes - I was scared like a little girl. Then I hear Chris (Gavin and Whitneys dad) laughing from the sidelines. Next stop was Heathers house - time to scare the other mom! Boys will be boys - FOREVER!!!

We Made It

YAY!!!! Dave is home. We made it - or I guess I should say he made it! He lost about 15 pounds. I really think that they should have some magic weight loss pill that helps the wife loose 15 pounds while her husband is away at SERE. A magic pill that would of course allow her to still eat brownies at night while she is watching a movie because she is lonely. :)

We are so happy to have him home. The boys were so excited to see him. We had his favorite meal prepared for him - homemade pizza and brownies. His stomach had shrunk so much that he could not eat very much at all. He gave it a good effort though.

Anyway - we are happily all together again!
